Sound Minds has 10 years experience of designing, accrediting and delivering Open College Network courses.

Our course leaders are qualified teachers, experts in their field and practising musicians and filmmakers.

Most units are at Level 2 (the same level as GCSEs). OCN credits are nationally recognised and former students have used awards of credit gained at Sound Minds to support university applications

Most courses are a couple of hours per week over 14 weeks. There are a limited number of free places available, subject to availability.

Classes are small and friendly and most courses are quite practical - there are no 'exams' and no written assignments (except for the Ward Visiting Courses).

Sound Minds does not follow a termly pattern - courses start and finish all year round, so keep checking this site or join our mailing lists to hear the latest

Our teaching studio has been revamped and re-equipped with new Apple Macs. Music Technology courses are now taught on Reason 8.

Non-members pay an £80 Centre Registration Fee all courses started during the academic year are then free to join,

1:1 Top quality unaccredited Guitar, Keyboard and Drum Lessons are also available from only £12 per half hour to members (or £15 per half hour to non members). Learn what YOU want to know.
