The Channel One Band play an entertaining blend of self penned songs and good-time tunes from reggae's  classic period.

In their 15 year history the Channel One Band have performed to a huge range of audiences including a tour of London’s Psychiatric Secure Units, conference entertainment for The Royal College of Psychiatrists and Mind and anti stigma awareness shows for students at London and Cambridge Universities. In 2016 they headlined The Mindful Mess, the official national 'Peerfest' after party at Rich Mix.

A trip to the West Coast of Ireland for the Clifden Arts Festival was the subject of the film ‘The Day We Danced on the Moon’ addressing the experiences of people living long term with mental ill health. The film premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2011 and has been shown at festivals across the world.

The band actively campaign on mental health issues and played live on Radio London as part of a two hour drivetime show on a mental health theme, broadcast from Sound Minds. Drummer and singer Devon Marston has also appeared on BBC2's Newsnight, Radio 4's Today, Radio Five Live, and Channel Four News.

Keyboard player Amy Daniel is a renowned steel pan player and in 2013 collaborated with artist Jeremy Dellar on a work for the Venice Biennalle, arranging a version of David Bowie's 'The Man who Sold the World' for steel pans.

The band are winners of a Community Care's award for mental health, recognising the value of songwriting, music, anti stigma workshops provided to inner city schools.

Line up: Devon Marston (Vocals and drums) James Brathwaite (Vocals and Bass), Coral Hines (Vocals), Paul Brewer (guitar), Rob Woolcock (drums and keyboards), Amy Daniel (Keyboards)
