We are looking for an experienced musician to work 1:1 with our learners, all of whom are recovering from major mental health setbacks.

The person we require will…..

  • Be available on Tuesdays (daytime) for at least a year
  • Have solid experience teaching or leading in music making with disadvantaged groups, preferably in the voluntary sector
  • Be able to play bass, keyboard and guitar, one instrument to a good standard
  • Have good knowledge of DAWs (preferably Propellerheads ‘Reason’) and basic recording techniques
  • References that demonstrate a patient approach, respectful of the creative directions of learners


  • Qualified to teach in Adult Education
  • Educated to degree level in music
  • Personal experience of mental ill health
  • Previous employment in mental health
  • Self employed

Pay: £20 p.h. Currently around 4 hours of work every Tuesday
